About Us
The Lexington-Fayette County Medical Reserve Corps was established in December of 2006. This MRC covers Fayette and Bourbon Counties and is sponsored by the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department. We currently have a total of 86 trained volunteers, and continue to recruit, train and credential new Medical Reserve Corps members. Volunteers have been given opportunities to participate in "Drive Thru flu shot clinic" and "Chemical Spill/Special Needs Shelter" exercises. We work with several community preparedness partners, including hospitals, emergency management, police, fire, schools, long term care, red cross, Citizen's Corps Council, and many others. The need for volunteers is great. We hope you will volunteer to help us.
